In 2005 Honeywell introduced the SnapLamp feature. These newer units have a bulb that detaches from the knob, thus service only requires replacing the bulb. Earlier units had the knob and bulb affixed with epoxy and thus both the bulb and knob needed to be replaced as one assembly.
Customers that have the earlier knob-bulb assembly need to purchase the new detachable bulb assembly. Then future service only will require purchasing the bulb only.
Bulb-knob assemblies with the detachable bulb are labeled. The label will note the replacement part number UC18W1004 or UC36W1006. The new knob-bulb assembly may have the blue or slate color scheme.
Honeywell 18 watt bulb and handle assembly for UV100E1001 and UV100E1043. Annual replacement of your lamps is required.
Note: On earlier UC100E1006 lamps the bulb didn't detach from the handle assembly. Those models require replacing the complete handle assembly and bulb with the current UC100E1006. If you have the newer model SnapLamp with the detachable bulb then order the UC18W1004.
Honeywell 36 watt bulb and handle assembly is used in the single lamp UV100E3007 and UV100A1059. Two bulb and handle assembly's are used in the dual lamp UV100E2008 and earlier UV100A1018. Purchase two (2) of these for dual lamp models.
Note: Replaces the UC100E1014, UC100A1013 and UC100A1054. The UC100A1013, UC100A1054 was earlier slate color.
